Why Ride the Trans-NH Bike Ride?

The Trans-NH Bike Ride for MDA is your opportunity to explore different areas of beautiful and scenic New Hampshire supported by a 5-star volunteer crew, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming community that rides for a great cause. The ride is a fully supported 1, 2 or 3-day adventure of New Hampshire roads, byways, and fire stations surrounded by community and camaraderie.

Every June, riders set out to emulate what a gnarly band of New Hampshire firefighters started in 1988 – cross the state of New Hampshire, starting at the Canadian border, in 3 days on their bikes no matter the weather conditions. In recent years, the ride has evolved to offer 1 and 2-day options so more riders can participate, yet the goal remains the same: cycle across New Hampshire to raise awareness and funds to support muscular dystrophy.

With a rich and colorful history that’s nearly 40 years old, this ride takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of New Hampshire all accompanied by good friends riding for a good cause, together.

Key highlights include:

  • A dedicated team of qualified massage therapists to soothe achy muscles at the end of each day’s ride.
  • Delicious meals prepared by fire fighters and their families.
  • Saturday evening awards and recognition ceremony with guest speakers, and more.
  • Sunday afternoon BBQ with games, entertainment, and activities for riders, support crew with an open invitation for friends and family.
