2011 – Spencer Desfosses

Spencer Desfosses was diagnosed with Becker’s Muscular Dystrophy when he was 5 years old.  He is currently 10 years old [2011] and in fifth grade.  In his words:

I am a fun-loving boy with a great sense of humor.  My favorite color is green and my favorite food is popcorn.  My favorite TV show is the Food Network Challenge.  I like to watch that with my mom.

Every week I swim and take karate classes.  I also enjoy playing my Nintendo DS and I especially love to draw!  Monsters are my specialty.

I was diagnosed with Becker’s Muscular Dystrophy when I was five years old.  Sometimes it can be difficult having this diagnosis but I have a great attitude and always try my best.  I have a great family that helps me whenever I need it.

Spencer lives in with his Mom, Jill, step-dad, Cliff and his brother, Cameron.  He attended MDA Summer Camp in 2010 for the first time and can’t wait to go back again this year.
